Parkour Julia, Parkour!

So on Friday Joey asked me if (being a gymnastics person) I knew what parkour was and I'm like OH YEAH!!! THAT IS WICKED AWESOME! so Julia's like whats that? and it was either me or Joey who's like "bekah will post a video" so here I am posting a video of parkour thats wicked awesome! or 2 vids...they're wicked!

not quite 2 weeks

ok i messed up. Its not in 2 weeks. Its in June sometime. I dunno the exact date, but mini olympics isn't in 2 weeks.


anyway so last night I went to gymnastics (open gym) and I suffered 5 new injuries. both ankles, my left elbow and both hands. hehe. I'll show ya tonight.

2 weeks my dear, 2 weeks

in 2 weeks(i'm pretty sure thats right) I have mini olympics. I can't mount a beam, and I don't have the energy to do 4 routines in a row. bars. beam. floor. tramp. though I can do my bar routine almost perfectly. I can make my back hip circle on high bar and land my flyaway...not that this makes sence to anyone but me and gia. anyway...a flyaway is a back flip off the bar. I cant mount a friggen beam!!! and I can't do a front walkover on beam to save my life! gosh. and on top of all that-my coach is an idiot and a jerk. his name is Ram(lol) and he's always making fun of me. and showing off. There was this joke with my class mates that he thought I was hot. it was my hair. Red hair to him means fire which means a whole lot of jokes. gosh I don't like him. cyall this friday

The olsen twins

I didn't mean the famous olsen twins, I meant the unfamous olsen twins. There are these 2 girls in my region who's last name is Olsen..and they're twins. it's great. lol. scroll down.

This Far and no Farther

So I got the title of this post from a chapter in a book called Shadow in the Deep(3rd book in the Binding of the blade series by LB Graham). The chapter has one of teh main characters shouting, "This Far and no farther you shall come!" to the enemy or something like that.

So that was last weekend for me. This far and no farther. Regionals but not Nationals. So is this the end of my public speaking career? haha. HECK NO! For NCFCA, most likely, but for life and other venues, definetly NOT.

Onto what happened this weekend

Thursday early morning we left for FA. Go there, spoke, Didn't go teribly well..w8ed..spoke again, went to the hotel, went into the lobby ofthe hotel only to find a bunch of people from the tourney playing chess or eating or talking or watever. I claimed to be horrible at chess and they wanted me to prove it. I did.(lol) eventually we all went to bed

Friday- Spoke, waited, spoke, played wooden solitaire, mafia, did gymnastics(got injured) and later went to the mall afterwards(where I got flipflops, socks and horrid nailpolish), went to hotel, watched chess games, talked got on computer and then went to bed

Saturday-Sat around, talked to ppl, took pics, sat around..listened to more speaches and debate(which was rather amusing), talked to ppl..comforted ppl who didn't break, congratulated those who did, got hit on by Levi Payne..again, got a very strong urge to punch Levi Payne..again, walked around, listened to breaks, didn't break, walked around..again, took pictures, said "I'm never goin to see you again so bye!" :( or something like that. ate then left.

As Noah Oberlander always said, "Do your best and let God do the rest" Well I didn't to my best this weekend and I know it. But this is how it is to be...

In the grand scheme of things I'm ok..but for now I'll be ok..eventually. I say eventually because I just like everyone else at the tourneys I worked hard and I LOVE public speaking and apparently I'm good at it to. It's one one of those things that I can't give up without a fight.



2 Things I'm gonna miss the most about speech- The adrenaline rush of giving a speech, but mostly all the friends I've made. i have some pretty awesomating friends from speech..The woodruff girls, the olsen twins, JD Farh, Christine orsini, Noah Oberlander, David Umstaatd, Emilie Lewis, Emily Pickering, Emilie Eastman, and I really got to knwo Megan Ring finally..

Goodbye speech it's hard to let you go but I'm glad I met you for the skills you taught me will remain with me and help me for the rest of my life. Thanks

Regionals

So today is Regionals!!!!!! yikes. I'm scared. I really really need y'alls support on this. And if you're just reading my blog since a week ago, you might wanna keep scrollign down.

last night was my scheduling thing for AACS. it was ok. I didn't get honors English, but that's ok. I saw some ppl who i know... they don't remember me..except Reagan. he was the only one who remembered my name right off the top of his head. Only 2 ppl remembered my first name and it took them 20 mins. I'm gonna have a very interesting year next year.

So this weekend was flippen awesome!!!! On friday we all went up to Mountain View. Everyone kinda accidently stuck Joey with Kyla..poor Joey. hehe. anyway, so that night we played cards, and ate starbursts. Then on Saturday we had our projects. Charlotte, Mr. Jim and I fixed the see-saws. Mr. Jim actually made a new one. I sanded and Charlotte painted. I walked the sander..oh yeah.. We played football, Capture the Flag(JAILBREAK!), we met jeff...hehe. then on sunday we had the sermon and we sang Pharoh Pharoh! OH BABY LET MY PEOPLE GO! that was so fun. We packed and headed to the petting zoo. where matanda got bitten by a horse who has my hair,
we fed animals and petted them and got free icecream! yeah!! Then we went home where Beccah, Matanda and I let our hair down and rolled down the windows and we took bunches of pics with our hair in our face. I'd put the pics from the weekend up, but I can't find the cord that connects the camera to the computer so y'all will just have to wait. hehehe.















Yesterday I had gymnastics. My coach, Ram is evil. I don't like him. Everyone in my class thinks he likes me though cause he said I'm hot. 2 words- Inside Joke. I really almost have my kip.

The events of April 16th weigh heavily on all our hearts. I didn't have time to make my own video, so I've stolen other peoples. After a while being insulted gets easier and easier, till you no longer care

So this morning I woke up and I did school, other stuff, and my dad came home for lunch, then told me to check Drudge Report. Then my mom says something like "Oh, to check about the shootings at Virgina Tech?" I froze. Shootings? Virginia Tech? For those of you who don't know, that's where David Nolen is for College. So then my mom says she called AACS(annapolis area christian school)to find mr. Nolen and ask about David. The secretary says that Mr. Nolen was gone, but that he had talked to David and he was fine. Big relief. Huge Relief. later, I talked to David over AOL instant messanger. He said that everything was doin better, but still not good. Later he said that it is possible one of his roommate's (roommate-andrew) friends might have been killed. The numbers of the deceased is still goin up I think. Last I checked, the New York Times said the number was 33. For more information, click on these words.

We all need to pray for David and his room mate Andrew, the families of the victims, the injured and hospitalized, and the very much scared college students. As far as i know, the shooter was killed as well.


In other news-

Gymnastics will leave you sore for a few days, but rips will leave the palm of your hand in pain and sore for weeks.

Today I had gymnastics. it was ok. We are preping for mini olympics. I'm scared. I also can't mount a beam in a fancy way. I'm too tall for the uneven bars at class. lol

but i have a rip the size of...i dunno, but it's about a millimeter deep and very red and gross. it duesnt hurt anymore.
